Steven J. Skikos

Steven J. Skikos is a founding partner and the current managing partner of Skikos, Crawford, Skikos, Joseph & Millican LLP.  Prior to founding the firm, Steve was the managing partner of the San Francisco office of Lopez, Hodes, Restaino, Milman & Skikos, which he opened when he joined the firm in 1996.

Steve has litigated and tried numerous employment, personal injury and pharmaceutical drug cases, and heads up the strategic and case specific work in numerous pharmaceutical mass tort litigations handled by the firm.  In addition, Steve has served in court-appointed leadership positions in both federal MDL and California coordinated defective drug litigation proceedings, including the following:

  • Member of the 5 lawyer Plaintiffs' Executive Committee and Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in the Gadolinium-based contrast agent MDL coordinated litigation in federal district court in Cleveland, Ohio
  • Liaison Counsel in the California Coordinated Baycol Litigation
  • Liaison Counsel in the California Coordinated Metabolife Litigation
  • Co-Liaison Counsel in the California Coordinated Rezulin Litigation
  • Co-Liaison Counsel in the California Coordinated PPA Litigation
  • Member of the Science and Expert Committee in the Rezulin MDL coordinated litigation
  • Member of the Plaintiffs' Executive Committee in the California Coordinated Vioxx Litigation

    Steve graduated from Hastings College of Law in 1990 where he was Executive Publications Editor of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review and recipient of the Hastings 1066 Scholar Award. He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame in 1987.

    Steve is a member of the State Bar of California, American Association for Justice (AAJ), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), San Francisco Bar Association, San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, National College of Advocacy, and the Hellenic Law Society. He is a frequent speaker at bar association and Mealey's conferences on issues relating to pharmaceutical mass tort litigation.
